Male Health

We provide a full range of medical services for men of all ages. Our GPs are experienced in men’s health and can support you with cardiovascular reviews, prostate and testicular cancer screening, sexual health concerns (including erectile dysfunction), and mental health advice.

Regular check‑ups are one of the best ways to stay on top of your health and wellbeing. They help identify early signs of illness and give you the opportunity to discuss any concerns.

Men tend to visit their GP less often than women, so it’s important to pay attention to changes in your health and seek medical advice promptly if something doesn’t feel right.

Male Health Resources

The Spanner in the Works? website, developed by the Irish Men’s Sheds Association, provides reliable health information tailored specifically for men. It includes links to over 40 Irish health organisations and offers guidance on what men should look out for at different ages.

You can find a wide range of useful men’s health resources here.

Men’s Sheds

The Irish Men’s Sheds Association supports men’s wellbeing across Ireland by creating welcoming community spaces known as “sheds.” These are informal, friendly places where men of all ages can meet, share skills, learn new ones, and build social connections.

Activities vary from woodwork, metalwork, gardening, crafts, and art to music or simply enjoying a cup of tea. Men’s Sheds play an important role in supporting mental health and reducing isolation.

As the saying goes: “Men don’t talk face to face; they talk shoulder to shoulder.”
